Republic Structure

All players are members of the Hunter’s Guild, and thus the Consortium. They should be aware of how many people there are above them.

  • The Imperium: Central government that oversees all military action and can override the Senate.
  • The Senate: Elites dedicated to the formation and enforcement of law.
  • The Aristocracy: The collection of noble vassals that owe allegiance to senators and oversee the management of serfs.
  • The Consortium: The branch charged with the organization, recruitment, and training of all guilds.
  • The Imperium overrules the Senate if war or public safety is concerned.
  • The Senate ensures the Aristocracy maintains order.
  • The Aristocracy forces the Consortium to obey laws.
  • The Consortium controls the lives of guild members.

The central government of the Orican Empire. When the Republic was first formed, the Imperator and their Consuls oversaw military action and matters of public safety. In recent years however, they have seized more power and diminished the strength of the Senate.

  1. Imperator
  2. Consuls
  3. Commanders
  4. Soldiers

Supreme ruler of the Republic. Their word is final.

When the Republic was first formed, the leaders of the rival southern city-states agreed to a structure where they were elevated to the role of Consul. When an Imperator dies, these few decide who will rise to the position. On paper, if they reach a consensus on an issue they outrule the Imperator.

Experienced military campaigners. There are charged with the logistical management of the Empire’s military and the broad wartime strategy.

Outside of the Hunter’s Guild, soldiers are the only non-nobility in the Empire who have real armor and weapons.
